Equinix is the world's digital infrastructure company, shortening the path to connectivity to enable innovations that enrich our work, life, and planet. We are a place where bold ideas are welcomed, human connection is valued, and everyone has the opportunity to shape their future.
Joining our operations team means being at the center of everything—maintaining and evolving critical infrastructure that powers the digital world and delivers real impact for our customers, communities, and society. You'll find belonging, purpose, and a team that welcomes you, because when you feel valued, you're empowered to do your best work.
This position serves as a pivotal leader within our operations, receiving objective-based assignments and determining the resources necessary to meet schedules and goals. You will provide guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies, recommending changes to policies and establishing procedures that affect sections or multiple disciplines. Your decisions will impact the immediate team and influence methods and techniques across the organization.
In this role, you will manage supervisors and professional individual contributors, guiding them through well-defined management precedents. You will lead teams to work safely, effectively, and with a high regard for human error avoidance. Your responsibilities extend to managing personnel details, including salaries, positioning, hiring, firing, reviews, coaching, and development. Additionally, you will aid in testing, project management, and resolving incidents, while planning, coordinating, and reviewing budgets to complete projects and maintenance within our datacenters.
You will also oversee contractor work to ensure completion to Equinix's required standards, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Ensuring correct processes are followed and documentation is complete, you will manage the takeover of new builds and infrastructure. During incidents, you will communicate and coordinate activities with on-site staff, assisting with root cause analysis and resolution.
This posting is for a backfill position, meaning it is to fill an existing vacancy within our organization. We use artificial intelligence in our hiring process to assist with initial screening. If you are a qualified candidate and need assistance or an accommodation during the application process, please let us know by completing our accommodation form.
Equinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
