About the Role

As a Service Technician within the Maintenance department, you are the frontline guardian of our community's comfort and safety. You ensure that both the interior and exterior of our properties, including grounds and amenities, meet the highest standards for cleanliness, appearance, and functionality. Your work directly impacts the resident experience, transforming maintenance requests into seamless solutions that foster a positive living environment.

Day in the Life

Your day is a blend of hands-on technical work and community engagement. You will diagnose and repair defects in apartment homes and common areas, ensuring all work is completed within 24 to 48 hours of a resident's request. A significant part of your role involves the "make-ready" process, where you prepare vacant units for new residents by conducting inspections, managing punch lists, and coordinating with vendors.

Beyond repairs, you act as an ambassador for our company culture. You will interact daily with residents, answering questions, addressing concerns with empathy, and maintaining a professional presence. You will also manage inventory, document all service activities accurately, and support cost-saving initiatives by repairing parts rather than replacing them whenever possible. Whether pressure-washing breezeways, painting signage, or inspecting contractor work, your attention to detail keeps the property in top condition.

Hiring Process

Candidates selected for this role will be invited to discuss their technical background and experience with hand and power tools. The process includes a review of relevant certifications, specifically EPA Type I, II, or Universal for refrigerant recycling, and a valid driver's license.
