As a Service Technician within the Maintenance department, you are the frontline guardian of our community's comfort and safety. You ensure that both the interior and exterior of our properties, including grounds and amenities, meet high standards for cleanliness, appearance, and functionality. Your work directly impacts the resident experience by responding to service requests and maintaining the physical integrity of the buildings.
We strive to be more than just a property management company; we are community builders. Our team operates with a "Journey Visionary" mindset, prioritizing innovative solutions to drive positive metrics and resident satisfaction. As an Organizational Ambassador, you will engage with residents, prospective tenants, and associates, leading with our core company values. We take pride in our communities and encourage active participation in industry associations and local community service to further both personal development and business goals.
Your day is a blend of technical problem-solving and community interaction. You will diagnose and repair defects in apartment homes and common areas, ensuring all work is completed within 24 to 48 hours of a request. A significant part of your role involves the "make-ready" process, where you prepare vacant units for new residents by managing inspections, punch lists, and vendor coordination.
Beyond repairs, you will maintain the property's aesthetic appeal by cleaning grounds, pressure-washing amenities, and performing general upkeep. You will also act as a cost-conscious steward of resources, fixing parts when possible and managing inventory efficiently. Throughout your shift, you will interact face-to-face with residents, answering questions and resolving complaints with empathy and urgency, even in stressful situations.
Candidates selected for an interview will be evaluated on their technical proficiency, ability to work independently, and alignment with our community-focused culture. The process includes a review of your practical experience with tools and equipment, as well as your ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
