About the Role
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor. In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining industrial machinery and equipment, performing daily inspections, and reporting defects or needed repairs to your supervisor. You will operate various equipment including forklifts, skid steers, manlifts, mobile cranes, and overhead hoists. The role involves changing bearings, motors, gearboxes, conveyor belts, sprockets, drive chains, and hydraulic hoses, as well as performing minor welding and fabricating tasks. You will also conduct visual inspections of equipment to identify repairs and assist with general labor duties such as sweeping, shoveling, and cleaning throughout the yard. Effective communication over radio with teammates for traffic coordination, production, and safety procedures is essential. You must be willing to cross-train and assist other teammates as needed.

Requirements

Experience with hydraulic systems and interpreting diagrams/blueprints. Bilingual in Spanish.
