Maintenance Supervisor

About the Role

The Maintenance Supervisor serves as the operational backbone for Detroit's critical infrastructure, overseeing the daily function of ventilation, power distribution, and life safety systems. This position extends beyond the main plaza to include tunnels, toll systems, buildings, booths, and supporting equipment. The role is designed to ensure uninterrupted primary and secondary inspection operations by coordinating closely with the Operations Manager, work crews, contractors, and U.S. Customs & Border Patrol.

As a key liaison between the company and government agencies, the supervisor manages corrective and preventative maintenance projects while responding to operational issues and emergencies. A primary focus is maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, which involves identifying hazards, enforcing company policies, and adhering to safety legislation. The position requires navigating a union environment effectively, supervising both union and non-union staff, and managing inventory to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
