About the Role

Reporting directly to the Deputy Warden of Operations, this position serves as a critical leader within the facility's maintenance department. You will be responsible for the general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings, overseeing technical trades such as plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry. Your work ensures compliance with American Correctional Association (ACA) standards, Management & Training Corporation (MTC) directives, and Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) regulations.

In this role, you will supervise maintenance clerks and workers, including the training, supervision, and evaluation of inmates assigned to the department. You will coordinate with other facility staff to determine maintenance needs, manage work order systems, and oversee the vehicle fleet to ensure safe operational conditions. Additionally, you will maintain detailed records regarding equipment inventory, building systems, and repair logs to meet contractual and safety requirements.
