This position is dedicated to ensuring the property operates smoothly and safely while delivering a meaningful guest experience. You will be the first point of contact for guests with repair requests, working to resolve maintenance issues with clear communication and genuine appreciation. Your day-to-day involves a blend of hands-on technical work and proactive care for the facility.
You will perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, visually inspect machinery, and handle basic repairs across various systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry. From replacing light bulbs and A/C filters to troubleshooting internet devices and programming TVs, you will ensure guest rooms and public areas are in top condition. The role also requires managing inventory, utilizing the Lockout/Tagout system for safety, and performing landscaping maintenance.
Beyond technical tasks, you are expected to uphold the highest standards of guest service. This includes anticipating service needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and maintaining a professional appearance. You will collaborate with other shifts to communicate daily activities and work with the team to reach common goals, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
This is a temporary, full-time position located at the Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel. Flexible shifts, including holidays and weekends, are preferred. Candidates should be prepared to move, lift, and carry objects up to 50 pounds and navigate stairs and service ramps.
