About the Role
Looking for a hands-on role that combines innovative robotics with equipment that's stood the test of time? Consider the Machine Operator position on the wood processing team at Marvin. The wood processing team converts raw lumber into high-quality machined wood components used in the production of windows and doors across our facilities. In this role, you'll use a combination of advanced technology with original machinery to produce high-quality wood products.
Safety is a top priority and is deeply embedded in every aspect of the training and daily operations. The first six months include an apprentice-style training program focused on hands-on experience with wood processing equipment. - Monday – Thursday: Shift options with possible overtime on Friday
- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: Shift option
Shift Times:
- Days: 5:00 am – 3:30 pm
- Evenings: 3:30 pm - 1:30 am
- Weekends: 6:00 am - 6:30 pm

- check_circleHandle material flow by offloading completed parts and inputting wood stock for production
- check_circleMonitor equipment performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
- check_circleChange tooling independently and safely to support production needs
- check_circleVerify parts meet quality and dimensional specifications using calipers and measuring devices
- check_circleAdhere to lockout/tagout procedures and maintain strict safety standards during operations
Requirements
- verifiedExperience operating multi-head woodworking equipment
- verifiedSolid understanding of machining processes
- verifiedExperience changing tooling independently and safely
- verifiedAbility to read and use calipers and other measuring devices
- verifiedHands-on experience setting up and running CNC or wood processing machinery
- verifiedFamiliarity with lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures
Nice to Have
Hands-on experience setting up and running CNC or wood processing machinery, ideally in a production environment.
