The CNC Operator III serves as a critical technical resource within our manufacturing facility, bridging the gap between design specifications and physical production. In this role, you will not only fabricate parts on numerically controlled machines but also determine the precise machining requirements to maximize efficiency. You will be responsible for preparing mathematical definitions for parts, editing G-code programs, and selecting the proper speeds, feeds, and cutters to ensure optimal performance.
As a senior-level operator, you will validate unproven programs for first-time manufacturing and provide technical expertise to support other CNC operators in solving production problems. Your day-to-day involves reviewing complex production orders, interpreting blueprints and data sheets, and performing a diverse series of progressive machining operations. You will oversee machine operations throughout production runs, utilizing statistical process control (SPC) data and precision measuring tools like optical comparators to guarantee that every part meets strict quality standards.
This position is ideal for a highly skilled machinist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the challenge of troubleshooting complex issues while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. You will work in the CNC department, where your mechanical aptitude and ability to multi-task will directly impact the quality and efficiency of our output.
