As a Machine Operator, you will operate light-duty bench- or floor-type machine tools and equipment, including small lathes, power mills, extruding machines, drills, punch presses, power brakes, shears, or saws. You may set up machines, make adjustments, and perform maintenance. The role involves checking work using prescribed gauges, jigs, and fixtures to measure close tolerances. Some machines may be numerically controlled (CNC), and you may monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
This position is based in Owego, NY (13827). The schedule is 1st Shift, Monday through Thursday from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with some overtime on Fridays or Saturdays.
Applicants must be US Citizens or US Permanent Residents. The role requires passing a drug test and background checks. A High School diploma or GED is required. Basic computer skills and the ability to speak, read, understand, and write English are mandatory. Experience with visual acuity in working with microscopes and SAP software use are preferred.
