The Machine Builder is the backbone of our manufacturing floor, responsible for constructing and assembling machinery that drives our production standards. This role is essential for ensuring that every machine is built accurately, functions efficiently, and strictly complies with safety guidelines, directly supporting the company's overall productivity and success.
In this position, you will work closely with engineering and design teams to refine machine designs and improve functionality. Your day-to-day involves interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to assemble mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components, while simultaneously troubleshooting and resolving any mechanical issues that arise during the installation process. You will also be responsible for performing routine maintenance, necessary repairs, and maintaining detailed records of assembly processes to update technical manuals.
This role takes place in an industrial environment where you will occasionally work near moving mechanical parts and be exposed to wet, humid conditions, ambient air, fumes, or airborne particles. The noise level is usually moderate but can occasionally reach high levels, requiring the use of safety equipment.
The physical demands of the job are significant. You will frequently maneuver on ladders of varying sizes and utilize manual dexterity to manage tools and equipment. The role requires the ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs, as well as the capacity to stand, walk, bend, squat, and kneel throughout the facility. While the role involves operating machinery, it also includes periods of sitting at a desk to work on computers and communicate with team members.
