LCMC Health is a community where our people make health happen. While our New Orleans roots run deep, our branches serve as the vessels carrying our mission: bringing the best possible care to every person and parish in Louisiana and beyond. We put a little more heart and soul into healthcare along the way.
Celebrating authenticity, originality, equity, inclusion, and a welcoming "come on in" attitude is the foundation of our culture of everyday extraordinary. We believe simple things make the difference, encouraging everyone to deliver healthcare with heart, bring some lagniappe into their work, and see opportunities rather than problems.
This position is designed for a team member who is ready to be more than just an employee. You will participate in the care of patients under the supervision and in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team. Your day will involve measuring and recording vital signs, identifying abnormal values, and assisting with clinic flow from patient arrival to exit.
You will prepare patients for examinations and procedures, handle clinic equipment with a focus on safety and disinfection, and administer prescribed medications and vaccinations. A key part of your role involves observing patients for signs of abuse or neglect and responding appropriately to emergencies. You will also navigate the Electronic Medical Record to obtain results, update patient data, and ensure the privacy of personal health information.
Beyond clinical duties, you will provide clerical support by gathering documentation, scanning correspondence, and answering telephone calls. You will maintain a clean clinic environment, assist with compliance to safety and infection control standards, and participate in quality improvement projects. We are looking for someone who is honest and real, yet compassionate, and who understands that one-of-a-kind care is the goal.
To ensure a smooth experience for both you and our team, please follow these steps:
