As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at our GSS NE Albion facility, you will provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in a long-term care setting. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician, you will ensure the health, comfort, and safety of our residents.
Your day will involve assessing residents, administering medications and treatments, and documenting care outcomes. You will utilize your nursing expertise to evaluate resident status, recognize problems, and respond effectively to emergent situations. As a key member of an interdisciplinary care team, you will establish effective working relationships with residents, families, and healthcare providers while maintaining strict confidentiality.
This position is part of the Nebraska Rural Health Workforce Incentive Program, which offers monetary incentives to nursing professionals committed to serving in a rural county for a five-year period. To support your transition, a $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates.
Candidates must hold an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse license with the State Nursing Board. The role requires a graduate from an accredited practical nursing program with supervised clinical experience, or a minimum of 400 hours of prior LPN experience. If the position involves IV therapy, specific North Dakota Board of Nursing approved training is required.
