As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at our GSS NE Albion facility, you will provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in a long-term care setting. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician, you will practice within the full scope of your nursing expertise, addressing the physical and psychosocial needs of residents according to their individual care plans.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include assessing resident status, administering medications and treatments, and documenting care outcomes. You will serve as a vital member of an interdisciplinary care team, offering technical support to healthcare professionals and counseling residents and their families on prevention and treatment plans. This role requires the ability to recognize problems, recommend solutions, and respond effectively to emergent situations while maintaining clear communication and confidentiality.
This full-time position is based at our Albion, NE facility (1222 S 7th St). You will work 12-hour day shifts, totaling 40 hours per week. This role is part of the Nebraska Rural Health Workforce Incentive Program, which offers monetary incentives to nursing professionals committed to serving in a rural county for a five-year period.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited practical nursing program and hold an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with the State Nursing Board. A pre-licensure nursing program including supervised clinical experience across the lifespan is required, or a minimum of 400 hours of LPN experience at another facility. If the position requires IV therapy skills, specific North Dakota Board of Nursing approved training is necessary.
