About the Role
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at our GSS NE Albion facility, you will provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in a long-term care setting. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician, you will ensure the health, comfort, and safety of our residents.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include assessing resident needs, administering medications and treatments, and documenting care outcomes. You will serve as a vital member of an interdisciplinary care team, collaborating with healthcare professionals and supportive personnel to address the physical and psychosocial needs of our community. Additionally, you will counsel residents and their families on prevention and treatment plans, utilizing your knowledge of resident education principles to develop self-care programs.
Location and Schedule
This full-time position is based at our Albion, NE facility (1222 S 7th St). You will work 12-hour day shifts, totaling 40 hours per week.
Incentives and Program Details
We offer a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualifying candidates. This role is an active participant in the Nebraska Rural Health Workforce Incentive Program, which provides monetary incentives to nursing professionals who commit to serving in a rural county for a five-year period.
Hiring Process and Requirements
Candidates must hold an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with the State Nursing Board. If the position requires IV therapy skills, specific North Dakota Board of Nursing approved training or graduation from an AASPN program is required. All offers are contingent upon passing a drug screen and pre-employment background screening.
