As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at our GSS NE Albion facility, you will provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in a long-term care setting. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician, you will ensure the health, comfort, and safety of our residents.
Your day will involve assessing resident needs, administering medications and treatments, and documenting care outcomes. You will serve as a vital member of an interdisciplinary care team, establishing effective working relationships with residents, families, and healthcare providers. In addition to clinical duties, you will counsel residents and families on prevention and treatment plans, utilizing your knowledge of resident education principles to develop self-care programs.
This position is part of the Nebraska Rural Health Workforce Incentive Program, which offers monetary incentives to nursing professionals committed to serving in rural counties for a five-year period. To support your transition, a $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualifying candidates.
Candidates must hold an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse license with the State Nursing Board. The role requires a graduate from an accredited practical nursing program with supervised clinical experience, or a minimum of 400 hours of prior LPN experience. If the position involves IV therapy, specific North Dakota Board of Nursing approved training is required.
