As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at our GSS NE Albion facility, you will provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in a long-term care setting. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician, you will serve as an active participant in an interdisciplinary care team.
Your day will involve assessing residents, administering medications and treatments, and documenting care outcomes. You will utilize your nursing expertise to evaluate resident status, recognize problems, and respond effectively to emergent situations. Beyond clinical duties, you will counsel residents and their families on prevention and treatment plans, helping to develop self-care programs. This role is vital for maintaining the physical and psychosocial well-being of our residents.
This full-time position is based at our Albion, NE facility (1222 S 7th St). You will work 12-hour day shifts, totaling 40 hours per week. This role is part of the Nebraska Rural Health Workforce Incentive Program, which offers monetary incentives to nursing professionals committed to serving in rural counties for a five-year period.
