As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at our GSS NE Albion facility, you will provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in a long-term care setting. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician, you will ensure the health, comfort, and safety of our residents.
Your day will involve assessing residents, administering medications and treatments, and documenting care outcomes. You will utilize your nursing expertise to evaluate resident status, recognize problems, and respond effectively to emergent situations. A key part of your role is counseling residents, family members, and advocates on prevention and treatment plans while maintaining clear communication and confidentiality.
You will serve as a vital member of an interdisciplinary care team, establishing effective working relationships with healthcare providers and the public. This role is ideal for a nurse who is skilled in establishing self-care programs and possesses the ability to work effectively with professional and supportive personnel.
This full-time position is based at our Albion, NE facility (1222 S 7th St). You will work 12-hour day shifts, totaling 40 hours per week.
We are an active participant in the Nebraska Rural Health Workforce Incentive Program, offering monetary incentives to nursing professionals who commit to working in a rural county for a five-year period. Additionally, a $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for this position.
