The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - GIG position offers a flexible, incentivized opportunity to utilize the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of licensed prescribers or Registered Professional Nurses. You will maintain professional accountability for your assigned patients, coordinate care with other departments, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality.
This role is designed for flexibility. As part of the Gig Nursing Program, you can pick up day or night shifts based on what works best for your schedule. There are no mandatory weekend, holiday, or shift requirements, though participation requires being available on short notice and maintaining a minimum of 12 hours every 90 days. Please note that this program does not offer guaranteed shift hours and shifts may be subject to last-minute cancellation.
You will float between designated Mercy Hospital facilities, gaining exposure to diverse environments including Behavioral Health, Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and Medical-Surgical units. This role allows you to work where and when you want across our network of locations in Missouri, including St. Louis, Festus, South St. Louis County, Washington, Troy, Perryville, Cape Girardeau, and Dexter.
To apply, ensure you meet the required qualifications, including a current LPN license within the hiring state, graduation from an accredited practical nursing program, and relevant bed-side experience (one year for Med Surg, two years for other specialties).
