As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Gss Nd Mandan Sunset, you will provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in a long-term care setting. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician, you will ensure the health, comfort, and safety of our residents.
Your day will involve assessing residents, administering medications and treatments, and documenting care outcomes. You will utilize your nursing expertise to evaluate resident status, recognize problems, and respond effectively to emergent situations. A key part of your role is counseling residents, family members, and advocates on prevention and treatment plans while maintaining clear communication and confidentiality. You will serve as a vital member of an interdisciplinary care team, collaborating with healthcare professionals and supportive personnel to deliver holistic care.
This position is based in Mandan, ND, with a flexible schedule of 36 hours per week. Shifts vary and include nights and weekends. As a Flex Plus employee, you will have a permanent home location but may be deployed to sister centers if needed. The role includes a travel differential for facilities outside your home location, a Flex premium for the non-block schedule, and shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited practical nursing program and hold an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse license with the State Nursing Board. If the position requires IV therapy skills, completion of a Board-approved IV therapy course is mandatory in North Dakota. A pre-employment drug screen and background screening are required conditions of employment.
