About the Role
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at our Gss Nd Bis Augusta Pl facility in Bismarck, ND, you will provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in a long-term care setting. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician, you will practice within the full scope of your nursing expertise, addressing the physical and psychosocial needs of residents according to their care plans.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating resident status through testing, recognizing problems, and responding effectively to emergent situations. You will administer medications and treatments as ordered, document resident interactions and outcomes, and counsel residents, family members, and advocates on prevention and treatment plans. As a vital member of an interdisciplinary care team, you will establish effective working relationships with healthcare providers and the public while maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.
This is a PRN position with a variable schedule, requiring a minimum of 30 hours per month and one weekend shift per month. The role involves travel to support multiple locations within a 150-mile radius of your permanent address, with mileage reimbursement provided for required travel.

Requirements
- verifiedGraduate from an accredited practical nursing program

- verifiedCurrent unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- verified3 months Long Term Care experience required (6 months preferred)
- verifiedIV therapy course or AASPN program if IV therapy required
- verifiedAnnual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training
