About the Role
At Mountainside Residential Care Center, our mission is to provide the highest degree of quality care to our residents. This position serves as a vital link in our nursing team, providing direct nursing care while supervising the day-to-day activities of nursing assistants. You will ensure that all care aligns with current federal, state, and local standards, maintaining a safe and supportive environment for every resident.
In this role, you will act as a resident advocate, ensuring rights are maintained and serving as a liaison between residents, families, and the medical team. Your day involves fostering a positive, friendly work environment, promoting teamwork, and ensuring accurate documentation and communication across all departments. You will be responsible for planning unit services, managing equipment and supplies, and leading staff development initiatives to enhance the overall resident and staff experience.

- check_circleSupervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants

- check_circleOversee documentation accuracy and completeness for all nursing staff
- check_circleAssist with staffing coverage and finding replacements for call-ins
- check_circleConduct routine staff audits to ensure care aligns with care plans and orders
- check_circleParticipate in staff education and ensure completion of mandatory inservices
- check_circleCoordinate care planning and ensure accuracy of Care Plans, Kardex, and MDS
- check_circleReport incidents, accidents, and potential infection outbreaks immediately
- check_circleMonitor equipment and supplies to ensure availability and prevent waste
- check_circleManage medication administration and treatment delivery as assigned
- check_circleEnforce safety protocols and infection control standards within the facility
