St. Christopher's School is the largest all-boys school in Virginia and one of the oldest and largest in the Mid-Atlantic region. Established in 1911, we are an Episcopal day school serving approximately 1,000 boys in Grades JK-12 in Richmond, Virginia. About the Role

We are seeking Substitute Teachers to join our Lower School team to provide instruction and manage the classroom environment in the absence of regular teachers. This is a part-time, temporary, 10-month position (salaried exempt) with hours from 7:40 am to 3:45 pm, Monday through Friday.

As a Substitute Teacher, you will be an integral part of our boys' educational journey. Your day will involve ensuring the successful implementation of lesson plans, applying varied instructional strategies to engage students, and maintaining a safe, supportive classroom atmosphere. You will serve as a consistent presence for our students, documenting their progress and behavior to support the regular classroom teacher. This role requires a deep commitment to our mission and the specific best practices for educating boys as articulated by our Center for the Study of Boys.
