As a Doctor of Medicine (Hospitalist), you will provide comprehensive pulmonary critical care coverage during day shifts while managing night call responsibilities. Your day-to-day will involve managing adult medical and surgical patients, handling admissions, providing cross-coverage, and conducting pulmonary consultations. You will work across multiple locations with a variable census ranging from 4 to 15 patients per day, depending on the specific facility assignment.
This role demands proficiency in essential procedures, including tracheal intubation, central lines, chest tubes, arterial lines, dialysis catheter placement, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, conscious sedation, and bronchoscopy. You will be supported by a robust team including in-house hospitalists, ER physicians, respiratory therapy, and ICU nursing staff.
