About the Role
As a Local Class A Floater, you will drive late-model Penske trucks equipped with inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras to ensure safety. Your primary mission is to perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships locally. You will work at various dedicated accounts and shifts as needed, often driving branded trucks and wearing client uniforms.
Your day involves unloading trailers using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages, as well as scanning products as they are delivered. This role offers the opportunity to be on the move with your career, with access to tons of training opportunities and the ability to relocate to a new city across the nation. Most importantly, this position offers a local schedule where you are home daily.
Hiring Process
To join the team, candidates must complete the Penske employment application and submit to a background investigation, which includes past employment, education, and criminal history, as well as a drug screening. The process also requires verifying a valid Class A CDL, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card, and a 3-year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents. English language proficiency is required for federal compliance.
