Penske is a stable, nationwide company known for its best-in-class equipment, great management, clear communication, and a fantastic safety record. We are more than just the yellow trucks; we haul freight for some of the world's leading brands. Our team of professional truck drivers is committed to delivering products safely and on time, while building strong relationships with our clients.
As a Local Class A Floater, you will drive late-model Penske trucks equipped with inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras to ensure safety. You will work at various dedicated accounts and shifts locally, performing multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships. Your day will involve unloading trailers using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages, as well as scanning products as they are delivered.
When you drive for Penske, you represent both the company and your clients, often driving their branded trucks and wearing their uniforms. This role offers the opportunity to be on the move with your career, with tons of training available and locations across the nation allowing you to relocate to a new city if desired.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package that keeps associates and their families happy, healthy, and secure. Benefits include paid vacation and holidays from day one, generous retirement benefits, excellent health care coverage (medical, dental, and vision), and disability and life insurance. We also provide company-provided uniforms and safety footwear, an employee discount program, and a driver referral bonus program.
Penske pays every Friday, and for most driving positions, you are home daily. We pride ourselves on incredible customer service and a fantastic safety record, ensuring you can put your truck-driving career in high gear.
To join our team, you must complete the Penske employment application and submit to a background investigation, which includes past employment, education, and criminal history, as well as a drug screening. This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation and designated as safety-sensitive, requiring the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Penske is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
