Key Responsibilities
- check_circleRefer patients to other disciplines and agencies to address comprehensive patient needs
- check_circleTrain patients and caregivers in skills essential for promoting independence and productivity
- check_circleAdapt treatment programs according to individual patient needs and progress
- check_circlePerform home and community mobility assessments and recommend safe mobility strategies
- check_circleConduct outpatient rehabilitation services in in-home settings for older adult populations
- check_circleMaintain timely clinical and billing documentation and adhere to department treatment schedules
- check_circleImplement therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and gait training
- check_circleEnsure a safe environment by eliminating fire and safety hazards
- check_circleScreen, examine, and evaluate patients to establish diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans
- check_circleSupervise Physical Therapy Assistants, students, and support personnel in accordance with state licensure
- check_circleCollaborate with the rehabilitation team to select appropriate therapeutic regimens
- check_circleDesign, fabricate, and apply adaptive devices including orthotics and prosthetics
Requirements
- verifiedValid Physical Therapy license in state of practice or proof of eligibility
