About the Role
Wooster Motor Ways is seeking a dependable, safety-first Company Driver to haul freight across our regional lanes. Based in Argos, Indiana, this role focuses on efficient drop-and-hook operations on the front end and live unloads on the back. Drivers will run routes between Argos and Bowling Brook or Argos and Fort Wayne, Monday through Friday.
This position offers steady miles and a clear pay structure designed to reward safe, experienced drivers. You will operate in a professional work environment with a team that looks out for one another, ensuring a supportive atmosphere on the road and in the yard.
The Day-to-Day
As a driver, you will operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight, general commodities, and specialized cargo. Your day involves planning routes to meet pickup and delivery windows, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and maintaining accurate HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA documentation. You will verify bills of lading, collect signatures, and ensure all paperwork is complete. Additionally, you will perform basic vehicle maintenance and keep your trailer clean and ready for the next load.
Equipment & Comfort
We provide International LT trucks fully equipped to ensure your comfort on the road. Each vehicle comes with a microwave, refrigerator, TV, premium driver's seat, and an auxiliary power unit (APU).
Hiring Process
Applicants must possess a valid Class A CDL with one year of experience and pass all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements. While a HazMat endorsement and TWIC card are preferred, they are not required. We cover the full cost of your initial HazMat certification if needed.
