About the Role
C.R. England is seeking experienced CDL-A drivers to join our dedicated route team servicing the Harbor Freight Tools account in Haslet, TX. This position offers a unique opportunity to deliver no-touch freight with a focus on excellence, integrity, and customer service. Drivers will operate a fleet of company-provided tandem-axle sleeper trucks pulling 53' trailers, ensuring timely deliveries across a multi-state region including TX, OK, NM, KS, MO, LA, AR, TN, and MS.
Day-to-Day Operations
Each load features approximately 2-4 stops, with all freight preloaded by the customer. A key component of this role is the driver unload assist program, where drivers utilize a hand pallet jack to move pallets from the back of the trailer to the tail for the store. Store personnel then handle the final offloading using forklifts. Drivers are responsible for verifying that the correct pallets are delivered to the correct locations.
The schedule involves a mix of local and overnight runs. Delivery windows operate from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Sunday, with Saturday shifts dependent on customer demand. Pickup times are flexible, occurring between 12:01 AM and 11:59 PM. Drivers typically run an 11-hour shift or a 70-hour clock as needed. All routes originate and conclude at the Distribution Center located at 1257 Bold Ruler RD, Haslet, TX 76052. Home time varies from daily to every other day based on the specific scheduled route.
