About the Role
I2X Technologies is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to support ongoing activities for a customer in Pearl Harbor, HI. This position is designed for a professional who thrives in a rapid-paced environment and can work independently to maintain the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems. You will coordinate closely with network administrators, interact with users, and evaluate vendor products to ensure optimal system performance.
In this role, you will be responsible for setting up administrator and service accounts, tuning system performance, installing system-wide software, and allocating mass storage space. You will also develop and monitor policies for computing resource allocation, create detailed documentation, and maintain standard operating procedures. A key part of your day will involve providing coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level technical staff, as well as making recommendations for hardware and software purchases.
The role requires a commitment to mission-critical support, including on-call availability, extended hours, and weekend support as required by mission needs or emergency situations. This is an on-site position that demands an active Top Secret security clearance and US Citizenship.
