This role supports the Engineering, Development, Integration and Sustainment (EDIS) contract. The EDIS program provides Contract Support Services (CSS) for the Research and Development Space and Missile Operations (RDSMO) program Ground System Enterprise (GSE). We work in direct support of the United States Space Force (USSF) and Space Systems Command (SSC) to enhance the resilience of the nation's national security space enterprise.
We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to join a cross-functional team at Schriever AFB. In this position, you will provide hands-on experience designing, installing, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining enterprise systems within an environment that is 90% Linux. Success in this role requires a team-oriented and customer-focused attitude, as you will serve multiple locations and various end users.
You will be an integral part of a highly technical team, interfacing with network engineers, systems engineers, and subject matter experts. Your day-to-day will involve overseeing security measures, performing root cause analysis on system configurations and backups, and ensuring the health of Linux and Windows systems. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining software documentation and performing evaluation tests to support the RDSMO program.
