As a Prep Cook at T S Restaurants, you are the foundation of our kitchen's quality and service. Your mission is to prepare and cook food items for your assigned station, ensuring every dish meets our high standards before it reaches our guests. You will work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment where attention to detail and adherence to recipes are critical to the guest experience.
Your shift involves reading and understanding recipes and POS-generated tickets to cut, weigh, measure, and prepare meats, vegetables, batters, sauces, and mixes. You will bake or cook specific food items according to guest orders and strict recipe specifications. Throughout the shift, you are responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all parts of your assigned station and communicating pertinent information, such as food shortages or guest allergies, to the Culinary Team Leader, Kitchen Supervisor, Sous Chef, or Chef.
You will also assist team members as needed, restock or breakdown your station before the next meal period, and ensure a safe work environment by following all food safety guidelines regarding handwashing, hygiene, and health. Success in this role requires being dependable, punctual, and capable of working effectively under pressure while maintaining a friendly and cheerful demeanor.
Candidates must have six months of Prep Cook experience within a T S Restaurant or a minimum of one year of external Line Cook experience. All applicants are required to take and pass training tests with a score of 90% or higher. Please note that knives will be provided, though individuals may use their own set if preferred.
