About the Role
As a Line Cook, you will prepare high-quality food in a timely, efficient, and sanitary manner. Your day involves partnering with Prep Cooks, Butchers, Dishwashers, Runners, and Managers to ensure every guest receives outstanding service. You will communicate with the Executive Chef or Sous Chef regarding nightly specials, guest flow, and special events, then set up your station to execute food preparation assignments with precision.
Throughout your shift, you will produce food items following Eddie Merlot's standard recipes, portion control standards, and presentation specifications. You will also prepare dishes for guests with allergies or intolerances, ensuring safety and satisfaction. Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and well-organized workstation is essential, as is assisting with the storage and organization of the kitchen and walk-in coolers. Experienced Line Cooks may also assist with training and supervision, demonstrating teamwork by cross-training and supporting other kitchen roles as needed.
