This Charge Nurse position serves as a pivotal leadership role within our nursing team, providing professional care, assessment, and evaluations to residents. You will guide staff in meeting the unique needs of our residents, ensuring that care is implemented consistently and appropriately. The role involves performing licensed practical nursing functions, managing the delivery of resident care, and participating in the care planning process. You will act as a key communicator during physician rounds, utilizing tools like SBAR to report changes in resident conditions and ensuring all medications and treatments are administered safely and accurately.
As a Charge Nurse, you will also play a vital role in team development by assisting with the orientation of new staff and sharing knowledge to foster continuous learning. The position requires navigating a rotating schedule that includes days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, with an on-call rotation. This role is specifically open to Avera Brady internal employees.
We offer a competitive pay range of $24.50 - $33.75 per hour, with additional incentives including a potential sign-on bonus of up to $10,000.00. We also provide a $3 shift differential for hours worked between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., $2 on weekends, and $5 on weekend nights. Eligible employees may participate in Avera's Student Loan Repayment Program, which contributes up to $10,000 toward principal balances.
