About the Role

At Avera Mary House, you will provide professional nursing care, assessment, and evaluations to residents within your scope of practice. This role is designed for Licensed Practical Nurses who are eager to guide staff in meeting the unique needs of residents and participate in a collaborative care planning process. You will work as an integral part of a team that prioritizes quality care, ensuring that interventions are appropriate and consistently implemented.

Your day will involve performing licensed practical nursing functions under the direction of the Registered Nurse, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care. You will be responsible for the safe and accurate administration of medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders, utilizing systems like Pyxis. Communication is key; you will participate in physician rounds, report changes in resident conditions using the SBAR tool, and facilitate conflict management while respecting the diversity of people and their ideas.
