Life Care Centers of America facilities operate as Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) that provide long-term care for residents requiring ongoing skilled support and compassionate daily assistance, as well as short-term, sub-acute rehabilitation for patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury. We utilize a collaborative care approach through an interdisciplinary team of nursing, therapy, and medical staff working together to serve a diverse patient population with orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and post-acute needs.
As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), you will provide direct rehabilitation care to patients upon physician referral under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. In this role, you will help patients achieve functional progress and improve their quality of life within a supportive, patient-centered environment. You will be an integral part of an interdisciplinary team, liaising with patients, families, and support departments to plan for patient needs and implementing departmental programs and goals.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve following physical therapy treatment plans, charting appropriately and timely, and utilizing therapy software accurately. You will exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude, while also demonstrating good body mechanics and the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
