As a Licensed Mental Health Professional working within a correctional facility, you will play a critical role in supporting the mental well-being of inmates. This position offers autonomy within a warm team environment, allowing you to conduct intake evaluations, provide therapeutic interventions, and develop comprehensive treatment plans. You will be responsible for monitoring the clinical needs of your caseload, responding to sick call requests, and coordinating with prescribing providers for medication evaluations.
Your day-to-day impact includes providing suicide prevention techniques, conducting psychoeducational and transitional groups, and participating in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings. Additionally, you will contribute to the broader community by providing staff training on mental health topics and ensuring all documentation complies with facility and company policies.
