Lead Test Engineer (Testing Enablement)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Test Lead Engineer to serve as a change champion embedded within our Testing Enablement team. This role is designed to bridge the gap between enterprise standards and specific project needs, ensuring that best practices are adapted to drive reliability, performance, and user acceptance across technology programs.

As a central partner between the Tower Lead and Program Manager, you will act as the voice of testing quality, providing daily updates on status, artifacts, and reports. Your mission is to foster a culture of testability from the start, identifying opportunities to combine hands-on testing, automation, and performance engineering. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and vendors to shift left, adopt Test Driven Development models, and ensure virtualized services are ready well before testing cycles begin.

Day in the Life

Your day involves balancing strategic oversight with hands-on technical leadership. You will own the development and evolution of the Testing Strategy, ensuring it encompasses updated test plans, environment strategies, and code management protocols. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to mentoring application team testers, promoting enterprise-wide standards, and analyzing project health metrics to provide clear visibility to leadership.

You will collaborate with the Defect Triage team to coordinate requirement traceability and prioritize fixes alongside Release Management. Additionally, you will assess the current landscape for new test technologies, recommending implementations that improve current workflows and drive tangible results in defect identification and automation coverage.

Hiring Process & Application

This is a 12+ month contract position based in Downtown Dallas with a hybrid work model. Candidates must be prepared for an onsite interview. The role requires flexibility to work overtime if needed and the ability to adapt to a full-time office schedule depending on project needs.
