L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead Space Systems Engineer to join our team in Wilmington, MA. We are dedicated to designing, developing, integrating, testing, and delivering critical space-based remote sensing systems for our customers. This role is vital to advancing our capabilities in space applications and ensuring the successful execution of complex engineering projects.

About the Role

As a Lead Space Systems Engineer, you will serve as a technical leader proficient in all aspects of the systems engineering process. You will be responsible for supporting the development of concepts of operation, requirements analysis, and decomposition at various system levels. A key focus of this position is the implementation of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and frameworks to drive engineering projects forward.

In this capacity, you will conduct systems modeling and simulation to analyze performance and validate requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of MBSE practices across space systems projects. Beyond technical execution, you will provide leadership and technical guidance on MBSE application throughout the organization, while also conducting training and mentoring for engineering staff on tools and best practices.
