This position provides administrative and customer service support to the Visitor Control Center (VCC) at the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) in Washington, DC. You will serve as the first point of contact in a busy, fast-paced environment where work is constant with minimum downtime. Punctuality is critical to mission success, as the highest volume of activity occurs when the VCC opens; on-time arrival is essential.
The role requires flexibility, as work schedules may vary. You may be assigned early or later start times and asked to adjust your schedule temporarily to support coverage during employee absences. Your day will involve greeting and signing in visitors, verifying identification and immigration status, processing clearance requests, and managing databases for personnel security and investigative actions. You will also handle VIP requests, collect fingerprints, and manage the filing and retrieval of sensitive materials.

Previous experience with the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS), Real-time Automated Personnel Identification System (RAPIDS), Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS), and LiveScan Fingerprinting Systems.

Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
