About the Team
The Hospitals of Providence is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist Lead to join our Allied Health Professional team in El Paso, Texas. This role is critical for maintaining the high standards of our laboratory operations, ensuring the delivery of accurate diagnostic results for our patients.
About the Role
As the Medical Lab Scientist Lead, you will supervise the daily operations of the department and manage staff performance. Your responsibilities include assisting in personnel selection, managing performance reviews, and making recommendations regarding discipline and termination. You will be responsible for ensuring the department meets accreditation standards, including CAP, TCJ, and AABB.
In this position, you will review quality control and patient results, perform laboratory testing, and handle the operational duties, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments and equipment. You will also ensure service level agreements are met by implementing operational efficiencies within the work area. This is a full-time, ongoing staff position requiring a 40-hour work week with an 8-hour rotating shift schedule.

Requirements
