About the Role

The Services Instrumentation and Controls Hardware Engineer is a pivotal member of the team designing and manufacturing Printed Circuit Board (PCB) equipment that governs safety-critical functions for the BWRX-300 Small Module Reactor. This position is uniquely focused on bridging the gap between design engineering and external suppliers, ensuring that new product lines are ramped up quickly to meet aggressive production schedules.

You will serve as the technical liaison between internal design teams and vendors, resolving manufacturing issues and ensuring all designs meet rigorous quality standards. The role demands a blend of technical problem-solving, requirements management, and effective collaboration across internal and external boundaries to deliver high-quality hardware on time and within budget.

About the Team

GE Vernova provides a challenging environment where professional development and career growth are prioritized. As part of the Instrumentation and Controls group, you will contribute to the advancement of nuclear power technology, working on systems that require the highest levels of precision and reliability.

Hiring Process & Application

This posting is for an existing vacancy. The application process includes a background investigation, which is a condition of employment. For roles based in the United States, a drug screen is also required. For Canadian-based positions, a drug screen is not required, but legal authorization to work in Canada is mandatory.

Eligibility & Compliance

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Final offers are contingent upon the ability to obtain authorization from the U.S. Government. Candidates must be U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, U.S. permanent residents, or protected individuals under the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Act, or hold specific authorization from the U.S. Department of Energy. For Canadian candidates, GE will only employ those legally authorized to work in Canada.

Diversity & Culture

GE Vernova is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Employment decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, protected veteran status, or other characteristics protected by law. Strong consideration will be given to Indigenous persons, defined as individuals who identify as being descended from the original inhabitants of what is now known as Canada (First Nations, Métis, and/or Inuit).

Benefits Overview

GE Vernova offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage, along with access to a 24/7 nurse-based Health Coach and Employee Assistance Program.
