The Services Instrumentation and Controls Hardware Engineer is a pivotal member of the team designing and manufacturing Printed Circuit Board (PCB) equipment that governs safety-critical functions for the BWRX-300 Small Module Reactor. This position is uniquely focused on bridging the gap between design engineering and external suppliers, ensuring that new product lines are ramped up quickly to meet aggressive production schedules.
You will serve as the technical liaison between internal design teams and vendors, resolving manufacturing issues and ensuring all designs meet rigorous quality standards. The role demands a blend of technical problem-solving, requirements management, and effective collaboration across internal and external boundaries to deliver high-quality hardware on time and within budget.

Experience in nuclear analog and digital instrumentation, control, monitoring, and electric power system and field engineering. Competency in industry standards (IEEE, IEC, IPC, and quality). Competency in modeling and test data collection tools. Strong verbal communication, facilitation, and presentation skills for technical and business audiences. Ability to quickly learn diverse organizational interfaces. Continuous improvement mindset. Solid technical writing skills with focus on requirements and design documents. Knowledge and experience with PCB design, signal analysis, and system verification tools (Altium, PSpice, SystemVerilog, UVM, etc.). Knowledge and experience with common HDL languages (Verilog, SystemVerilog) and PLD/FPGA development tools (Quartus, Vivado, ModelSim, Questa, etc.). Extensive knowledge in PCB manufacturing methods and best practices.
