About the Opportunity
Skillforce has partnered with an industry-leading general contractor to recruit a Lead Estimator for a contract-to-permanent, long-term position in Louisville, KY. This role is based full-time in the Louisville office with minimal travel to project sites.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Lead Estimator to join a small-to-medium-sized construction company and run their estimating department. In this capacity, you will oversee the entire estimating function, preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates specifically for restaurant construction projects. Your day will involve performing material and quantity takeoffs from architectural and engineering drawings, analyzing specifications to develop comprehensive estimates, and collaborating with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather pricing and scope details. You will also be responsible for reviewing vendor and subcontractor quotes, maintaining cost databases, and supporting preconstruction efforts, bid submissions, and value engineering exercises to ensure all estimates align with project schedules and company standards.
