In the Laundry Department, you will perform day-to-day activities in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and company policies. Your primary goal is to ensure the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner while guaranteeing an adequate supply of linens is always on hand to meet the needs of our residents.
You will be responsible for all assigned laundry duties, including dining room linens. This involves collecting and sorting soiled laundry, linens, and garments, and placing them in appropriate containers. You will separate items requiring special stain removal, wash items according to established procedures, and fold, count, stack, hang, and distribute clean items. Additionally, you will maintain a clean and orderly work area, which may include cleaning floors, walls, and ceilings, as well as removing dirt and grease from equipment. You will monitor laundry supplies, report inventory levels, and communicate any equipment irregularities to your supervisor.
