As a Launch Industrial Engineer at General Assembly, you will partner closely with Workstation Designers to create operator-friendly workstations on the shop floor. Your mission is to enable the production of high-quality vehicles with maximum efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve successful vertical launches for all new programs, ensuring a seamless integration of production systems and Workplace Integration (WPI) principles.
In this role, you will design, layout, and optimize workstations for General Assembly Shops in preparation for new program launches within a specified assembly plant. A key part of your day involves performing man-assignments and line balancing using efficient and effective approaches that minimize station rearrangements and reduce disruptions to existing production systems. You will work directly with the WPI Team to piece together different aspects of a new program launch, delivering a cohesive vertical launch strategy.
