About the Role

The Planner serves as a vital facilitator for planning and permitting applications, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope. This role acts as the bridge between the company, clients, and various authorities. You will provide regular updates and reports to clients and project managers while liaising with municipalities and private or government agencies.

Your day will involve supporting planning, permitting, and land acquisition activities across all levels of government for infrastructure, renewable energy, telecommunications, and rights-of-way projects. You will maintain strong professional relationships with clients and permitting authorities, develop application deliverables, and secure necessary approvals to commence construction. Additionally, you will coordinate municipal delegations, facilitate public open houses and information sessions, and develop materials for community engagement. The role requires researching policies, zoning by-laws, and procedural by-laws to ensure comprehensive due diligence, as well as reviewing colleagues' deliverables to maintain high standards.
