About the Role
This position serves as a vital support role within our operations, ensuring the smooth and safe functioning of our waste and recycling sites. The role is designed for individuals who thrive in an active, outdoor environment and are dedicated to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. You will be the eyes and ears on the ground, guiding vehicles and equipment, managing site logistics, and ensuring a clean, secure work environment.
Your day will involve a mix of physical labor and coordination. You will perform general construction activities, manage traffic control by guiding vehicles and placing safety signage, and handle site clean-up duties. Communication is key; you will coordinate effectively with drivers, employees, and management via handheld radios and CBs. Additionally, you will assist in fueling vehicles, setting up wind fences and landfill coverings, and transporting employees to their work stations as needed.
