As a Baker Prep Associate (Production Associate) at Sprinkles, you will be the heartbeat of our kitchen, contributing directly to the success of our brand by mixing all cupcake batters, frostings, and ice cream flavors. Your sweet spot is working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, where you thrive when hustling through a busy day of measuring and mixing ingredients with precision and adherence to specifications.
This role is designed for those who find joy in the craft of baking. You will embody the Sprinkles culture, acting as a company advocate and ensuring that every batter and frosting prepared meets our high standards. Your work sets the stage for the special memories that happen daily in our bakery, as you prepare the foundations for our products to be delivered to other bakeries and enjoyed by our customers.
You can expect to start your shift between the wee hours of midnight and 4 AM. Throughout your shift, you will memorize recipes and utilize proper techniques for mixing, pouring, and storing ingredients. Maintaining a consistent pace is essential to ensure all duties are completed on time. While your primary focus is on preparation, you will also assist with dishwashing, baking, and cooling as needed.
Teamwork is at the core of the Sprinkles experience. You will rely on and assist fellow associates to provide the best service possible. The role requires physical stamina, including the ability to remain on your feet for hours, lift at least 50 pounds, and move around the bakery to bend down for bags or reach up for trays. You will also be responsible for adhering to all safety and sanitation guidelines and completing opening, closing, daily, and weekly cleaning checklists.
