The Kitchen Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. This role focuses on the critical behind-the-scenes work required to process and store food products. You will assist in unloading carriers from satellite kitchens, preparing pans and utensils for the dishwasher, and ensuring all equipment is properly sterilized. Your day will involve a mix of cleaning duties, including mopping floors, maintaining coolers and freezers, and managing linen care across all schools. The position requires a self-directed approach to organizing work and managing time to achieve high-quality results with minimal supervision.
Appointments to this position are contingent upon the results of a criminal background check, including fingerprint screening, which must be acceptable to the Board of Trustees. Screening tests for alcohol and illegal drug use may also be required before hiring and during employment. Performance evaluations for this role are conducted in accordance with the Board's policy on the Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
