We are seeking a Kennel Worker to join our team in a seasonal capacity, with the exciting possibility of advancement into a permanent Part-time position. This role is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and grow within the animal care field. While prior experience is preferred, we are committed to offering comprehensive training to candidates who demonstrate the potential to become great additions to our team.
In this position, you will be the backbone of our daily operations. Your day will involve a dynamic mix of hands-on animal care and client interaction. You will walk dogs in all weather conditions, care for boarding cats and dogs, and assist with grooming tasks such as bathing and nail trimming. The role requires physical stamina, including lifting heavy patients over 50 lbs, as well as the ability to administer prescribed medications and restrain animals safely when necessary. Beyond animal care, you will maintain a clean and sanitary environment by handling laundry, washing dishes, and cleaning floors. You will also cross-train to work both the kennels and the front desk, ensuring seamless communication with clients and efficient facility management.

This role requires a flexible schedule to meet the needs of our boarding and walking clients. Primary hours typically include 3-5 days Monday through Friday (7 am–2 pm or 12 pm–6 pm), plus one to two 12-hour days per week. You must also be available to work every other weekend from 7 am to 7 pm, with a mid-day break. Availability for 6-8 hour shifts on holidays is mandatory. Please ensure you have your own transportation to get to work reliably.
